HMI Memorial

CEO Emeritus
Ladies and gentlemen,

Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart to honor the memory of a remarkable woman, my late wife, Dr. Ronisha Anderson McCaskey. On that fateful day, March 7th, 2023, tragedy struck our community when she was taken from us in a senseless act of violence at 3033 Clay Street in Columbus, Georgia.

Ronisha’s life was not defined solely by the tragic circumstances of her passing, but rather by the incredible impact she had during her 30 years of marriage. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a pillar of strength in her community. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

As we remember Ronisha today, let us not dwell solely on the pain and loss we feel, but also celebrate the beautiful moments she shared with us. Her unwavering love and commitment to her husband for three decades is a testament to the power of devotion and resilience.

In the face of unimaginable grief, we must find solace and strength in the memories we hold dear. Ronisha’s legacy will forever remind us of the importance of cherishing our loved ones and fostering a community built upon love, compassion, and understanding.

While we mourn the loss of Ronisha, let us also take this opportunity to reflect on the larger issue of violence that plagues our society. We must stand united in our determination to address the root causes of such senseless acts and work towards a future where no one has to suffer the pain of losing a loved one to violence.

Today, I call upon all of you to honor Ronisha’s memory by promoting peace, love, and understanding in our communities. Let us come together to support and uplift one another, ensuring that her life was not lost in vain.

May Ronisha Anderson McCaskey Ph.D. rest in eternal peace, and may her memory inspire us to create a world where love triumphs over hatred, and compassion overcomes violence.
